As part of our commitment to fostering student agency and principled action, starting in August 2027, all DLTS Grade 9 students will complete the MYP Community Project.
What is the Community Project?
The Community Project is a culminating event of our MYP. It provides an opportunity for Grade 9 students to engage in long term, independent inquiry, action and reflection focused on community engagement.
Working in small groups, students will research, plan and execute a project that aims at addressing an authentic community challenge or building on a community asset. This project consolidates student learning from their previous years, requiring them to utilize their knowledge , skills and understanding in all stages of the project.
